Pulse Monitor MyDAQ

The purpose of this project is to make a heart rate monitor using myDAQ and Labview.
All the information is used from the following link:

I built the pulse monitor using the information provided on the NI website. The Labview program was provided and how to connect everything to myDAQ.

The principle behind making a heart pulse monitor using an LED and LDR is very simple. To get a pulse rate the user places their finger between the LDR and the LED. As the light passes through the finger, some get absorbed or reflected and some passes through to the LDR. When oxygenated blood passes through the finger, it absorbs more light so less light reaches the LDR and therefore, voltage across the LDR varies accordingly and this variation corresponds to the pulse rate. This principle lets the program determine the pulse rate with high accuracy.
