It introduces students to fundamentals of aerospace engineering such as basic flight dynamics and control.

Setting up the equipment is very easy if the instructions are followed correctly. On this page i will write about my personal experience of using VTOL.

Initial setup phase.

This part only needs to be done once to connect VTOL to the computer and to test its basic functions.

• Easy to setup.
• Follow the instructions in the quick start pdf.
• Run the quick start VI to test everything is connected properly.
• The fan will move up and stabilize , move down and stabilize.
• That ends the testing phase.

Test VI run:

There are 3 experiments for VTOL:

1. Current control(controls the current in motor)
2.  Modelling (Validate transfer function model and identify system parameters)
3.  flight control (control the pitch using PID)

I followed the instructions as given in the students workbook and completed Lab 1 without any problems.
